1/ A year ago, people across the United States & Canada were performing all sorts of wacky trick shots in honor of @ChrisSnowCGY — and to raise serious cash ($439,906) for ALS research and new treatments.

1/ A Trump fundraising triple bait-and-switch, unpacked.

This morning, Trump’s campaign sent this text message. It would appear, in a plain reading of it, that any money you donate would go toward ongoing efforts to overturn Election 2020 results. 2/ But click on the Trump fundraising text link, & you get nothing about the presidential election. Instead, you get a solicitation for the “GEORGIA ELECTION FUND,” referring, of course, to the two runoffs in Georgia that will determine the Senate’s balance of power in 2021-2022.

1/ Investigative journalism is slow. It's tedious. There's no guarantee your efforts will ever pay off.

Few reporters I've worked with have ever worked so hard. Let Sarah herself tell you more:

* Trump's campaign had 3x more cash on hand in August 2020 that it did in August 2016, per fed records.

Eating Cheerios in my third-story walk-up apartment in Manchester, N.H., watching CNN and getting ready to drive to the statehouse in Concord for a seemingly typical day at work as an @EagleTrib reporter. Then came the pictures of smoke from the World Trade Center. Most days are blurs. You can’t clearly remember a moment. This day is a series of freeze frames. Calling my editor. Throwing my “go bag” into my red Pontiac Grand Am. Racing down I-93 toward Boston. Turning around at the Route 111 exit and racing back to Manchester’s airport.

NEW: @kanyewest's presidential campaign tells the @FEC that it won't disclose campaign income/spending until later this month.

Stated reason? A change from filing its disclosures on a quarterly to monthly basis.

Problem: Pres campaigns MUST file monthly during election years. Image .@bryson_morgan brings up a good point that the monthly filing requirement for a presidential campaign is triggered by a campaign raising or spending more than $100,000 in a month. But ...
