@Li7ardKing@timpastoor I’ve thought about this question quite a lot and I think i can make a case for a plan that makes sense. One that will speed the long term goal of buidling a decentralized rep system, but will make use of a centralized rep system as part of the (short and) medium term plan.
@Li7ardKing@timpastoor First, gotta recognize the ethical pitfalls. The largest pitfall I can think of would be to fall into the trap of surveillance capitalism: users give us their data which we monetize, a la Google, Facebook, amazon, all the major tech giants.

One of the reasons a #webOfTrust based #pseudonymousReputationSystem has never gained significant traction is that no one has ever released one with enough features to be functional. No one has ever built and released one with enough complexity. A short thread.
I’ll draw an analogy between making the first successful WoT-based PRS and making the first successful combustion-engine based automobile. There’s a certain minimum number of features and level of complexity that you’d need to achieve for your auto to be useful in the real world.
