You know what I heard from rural voters in WNC this whole election cycles?
That corporations would pull out of their towns leaving people without work and that if their kids/grandkids had any success with education that they’d inevitably have to move away from home to find work.
Corporations are strip mining our small towns in America and the right have weaponized a fake “culture war” so that rural folks are conned into voting in support of the very people who are doing this to them.

I interned for a @GOP Member of Congress back when I understood that government was where compromise occurred.
That was the year things changed and birthed the modern, scorched earth @GOP.
We used to be able to agree on facts and just argue about how to approach.
Now, because they have whittled their own base down they have forced themselves to lie and cheat to win.
They have demonized Democrats through their biased media so much, that there are Americans who would rather side with foreign tyrants than members of their own nation.
