(1) State Senator @MerleFlowers argues that if we end up with a runoff between Espy and CHS, CHS will win, but if we have a runoff between Espy and McDaniel, McDaniel will lose. Let's examine this argument a little more closely. We can safely assume anyone Democrat will vote for
(2) Espy on Nov 6 and in the runoff. (Yes I know there's another Democrat in the field but he's not making the runoff). And it's universally accepted that Espy will make the runoff. The question is will it be CHS or McDaniel in the runoff vs Espy. Flowers contends that only CHS
