Another thing #Spotify/ Daniel Ek underestimated is just how much career artists despise them *in particular* for stripping us of our livelihoods. I don’t know anyone who’s got control over their catalogue who ISN’T starting the process of pulling it. 1/ The years #Spotify use began to dominate over downloads/CDs my publishing/mech income plummeted from 10s/thousands to hundreds, and it’s devastated the careers of so many people we all assumed were lifers. I wanted to drop them early on but my publisher talked me out of it. 2/
