In mid-Feb, the WHO warned that global demand for medical safety gear was 100 times higher than normal, prices were 20 times higher, stockpiles were depleted, and there was a 6 month backlog. Senior DOJ officials also stepped in last month to lower the government's sentencing recommendation for former Trump NSA Michael Flynn.nbcnews.com/politics/justi… The revised sentencing recommendation for Flynn came on the same day Jessie Liu stepped down as DC US Atty [because Trump was to nominate her for a Treasury post]. She was replaced the next day by a Barr ally.

Trump has now rescinded his nomination of Liu.
