I’ve seen once again discussion about white women and their voting record. Let’s be clear. These women aren’t voting the way their husbands do or tell them to vote. They are the same people as their husbands—racist, bigots, misogynists. Don’t expect them to ever be supportive of other women, not just black and brown women, but white women as well. And not just in politics either. They don’t support women in the workplace, in church, in their social lives.

I want to talk about the Buffalo Massacre, and why Republicans won’t address gun control. Police departments were created to intimidate communities of color and particularly black communities. Police depts were created to capture runaway slaves and nothing much has changed. Keeping this in mind explains a lot about Republican attitudes about guns. They want white Americans armed because they want communities of color intimidated and afraid. Their armed constituents make up a huge police force with the same purpose as the original police forces.
