I just shared the gospel with a guy who's been out of prison for two years after a 13 year sentence. He came by the church on a whim. We talked & then went to lunch. At lunch he said, "I was watching the History Channel and I was wondering if you could explain something..."
I'm thinking, "Oh boy, where is this going."
He said, "It was a show about the translation of the Bible and it talked about this guy name John. Do you know what I'm talking about?"
"John Wycliffe?"

On Saturday I’ll preach the funeral of my friend Tony.
Tony started attending my church, @cpc_shorthills a few months ago. He had been invited by one of our members when they met each other in a local bookstore.
He attended worship several times. We chit chatted after the service. But it wasn’t until we met for lunch that he started telling me his story.
