I want to tell you a little story about ambition & rejection, disappointment & sadness, fear and flight AND moving forward despite a broken heart.
It’s about me and my career journey over the last few years.
It’s going to be tough to share so bear with me.
When I was hired at MS I was ecstatic. I grew up on MS products and it was my dream to work there, never thought I’d get the opportunity to though.
Not me.

InfoSec friends, when you think of small businesses, as in less than 15 employees, what are your top security recommendations? Keep in mind -
1⃣Most small biz do not have security/tech staff
2⃣Goal is to keep ops cost low & business going
3⃣Complexity will not work here
Scenario 1: Small mom and pop shop - Sells clothing
Staff: 4 employees including owners
YOY Sales: $500K
Locations: 2 brick and mortar retail and a warehouse
How can they stay as secure as possible with zero complexity?

There is a lesson in last nights Verzuz performance, more than one actually, and it is this.
Unity wins.
From the minute the Lox walked on stage they were unified.
Dipset, on the other hand, arrived separately, chaotic, not unified, not organized.
In this case, the history speaks for itself. The Lox have pretty much been in lock-step, despite each artist doing their own thing/projects.
Dipset, not so much because ego and drama AND IT SHOWS.
Don't matter how fly you think you are if the quality is basura.

I will never understand how & why the need to be “right” trumps all decency, kindness and humanity especially on here.
It’s ridiculous.
What if I tell you that we are all - right.
Idk if its trauma or what but it’s insane to see folks who claim to be advocates of X mission, then turn around and bully others for not meeting their demands.
Demands. Like what in the entire
It appears that i/o to exist in any “community” one has to be perfectly perfect 🙄

The thing about burn out and stress is that you become hyper focused on the bad and (temporarily) lose your optimism and creativity. This can spiral into severe sadness and bouts of depression. And no you can’t just snap out of it.
Furthermore, this can make certain life events, like having a difficult time at work or home devastating. And it’s not simple as telling someone they should change their home/work etc. I don’t have the answers bc I’m the one exp severe burn out right now.
