Not in a literal sense, but in a covenantal, intimate, and faithful relationship:

He creates us,

He binds Himself to us in love and fidelity (“your Husband”),

She conceives Jesus by the power of God, without a human father.

Her union is virginal, pure, and spiritual, yet deeply real.

But even though Mary’s union is unique, it is not exclusive.

“For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing.” Romans 7:19

This shows that true believers can experience failure and not always true faith inevitably produces good works and holiness. @sola_chad The Apostle Peter was one of Jesus’ closest disciples but denied Him three times (Matthew 26:69-75). Despite his failure, Jesus restored him and entrusted him with leading the Church (John 21:15-17).
