Lore: my family's last name was changed from a somewhat noble to a more common one because one of my ancestors insulted a high ranking officer as a soldier. I was unable to confirm this because my family history for some reason only goes back so much, which can kind of be explained by that lore, but it still sounds like bullshit to me.

Huh. This new "disturbing" Pinocchio actually looks like it's following the source material surprisingly closely, and the tone feels strangely appropriate. And I guess Roberto Benigni is now the only film actor to have played both Geppetto and Pinocchio throughout his career?

Wtf, there's a patch to enable EAX effects in Thief in modern Windows on all soundcards?!?!?! Holy fuck, I might as well replay Thief now. Have you ever played Thief with an EAX enabled sound card? Because if you haven't, you really should. It's crazy how much better the experience is, and that it was limited to a certain sub-section of hardware.

Ok, it's Sunday, and I'm bored, so get ready for a thread of pre-release Duke Nukem 3D screenshots! #DOSGaming Image These are dated 05/10/1995, nearly a full year before the release of the full registered version. This is clearly still in the LameDuke (Dec 94/Jan 95) territory, but you can see it begin to develop into Duke 3D with its toilet stalls, and the shrink ray ImageImageImageImage

You know what? Fuck it. I'm gonna grab a cover disc from a Russian computer magazine from July of 2000, and see what's on it! Actually, you know what? Instead of using the actual CD I'm gonna download its ISO with a download manager!!! *Maniacal laugh*

It's Friday night during a quarantine! Who's ready to join me on a journey through Russian pop hits of the 90s? We're going all over the place! It's gonna be terrible, cute, and occasionally great. Let's go, comrades! πŸ‡·πŸ‡Ί Preface:
90s Russia was a weird time. Following the disappointing Perestroika, and the subsequent collapse of the USSR, the overall mood wasn't the greatest. With an alleged democracy Russian Federation imported fast food, videogames, foreign tech goodies, drugs, and crime

Ok, so I just had a horrifying encounter with the first few headcrabs, so it's time to take a break, have some tea, and share some first impressions. #HalfLifeAlyx Please note that my videocard is below the minimal system requirements, so what you see in this screenshots reflects that. By default all my settings were set to either low or occasionally medium. I did turn on flickering lights though.

Have you ever played "Jim Power: The Lost Dimension"? It's an obscure French DOS (and SNES) game, and it's currently available on Steam. And it has UNCOMFORTABLE levels of parallax scrolling. Why is that? That's because the full title of the game is "Jim Power: The Lost Dimension in 3D"

Well, that thing has been in my trunk for a week. Should I get it out of what? Well, here it is. It's a bit never than I thought. Couldn't really see it well in the dark. This is a Pentium 3. A quick Skype call to my mother first, and then we'll see if it's alive.

This is a lot funnier in context, and I urge all of you to watch the film, which itself is a collection of 3 shorts. College student protagonist named Shurik finds a girl named Lida who had notes for an upcoming exam. Being so engaged by studying Lida doesn't realize that Shurik is not her girl friend who was left behind sleeping on a bus. The gag is that there's no sexual tension between them.

Idk if I said anything about horror in VR before, so here goes:
- Are there any horror VR games out there that are legitimately good?
- HORROR IN VR IS TOO FUCKING HORRIFYING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean I love horror, I love being creeped out, and I have pretty high tolerance for all that stuff, but holy shit when you're in VR and something makes a scary noise right next to your ear it's just like SHIIIIIIIIIIIT. Instant 100% immersion.

Regarding "Imagine if Duke 3D got censored in 1996..."' and all that jazz. It did. There was a special version made to be sold in Wal-Mart (biggest retail @ the πŸ•™) with permanently enabled parental lock (remeber that? Duke 3D actually had a parental lock feature to begin with!). Shadow Warrior got censored in the UK, they also changed shurikens into freaking *darts*. NAM had to have it's entire title changed to Napalm to be sold in Wal-Mart (???). The 90s weren't some kind of a gaming utopia.

Current owner of Keen Dreams, ladies and gentlemen: Like I mentioned before, he also defiled Hovertank 3D before releasing it as a commercial product with shit like this. And he couldn't even bother to edit the text right.
