The evidence that Marlowe likely wrote the Shakespeare canon is so compelling I’m surprised more people don’t take it seriously. Among the key points (🧵):
1️⃣First, it strains credulity to posit that Will Shaksper - who owned NO BOOKS - wrote the greatest literature in history.
2️⃣Shaksper had at best a provincial grammar-school education, while the true author was fluent in Latin (draws on untranslated Ovid), Greek, Italian, French.
3️⃣Every major writer of his era EXCEPT Shaksper left behind a lively written correspondence. Shaksper left no letters.
