STEP BY STEP TO CANADIAN PR Part 2.

1
Once you get your ITA,
You’ve got 60 days to submit your full application (eAPR).
That’s when you upload your docs, education, work proof, test results — everything.

2.
Processing time? Around 5–6 months after submission.
If approved , you’ll complete your “landing” process and become a Permanent Resident of Canada 🇨🇦 3.
What Is an ITA?

ITA stands for Invitation to Apply.
It’s the official invitation from IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) asking you to submit your full application for permanent residence under Express Entry.

Think of it like this
You enter the Express Entry pool.
IRCC holds a “draw”.
If your CRS score is high enough (or you meet a specific category requirement), you receive an ITA.
That’s the golden ticket you’ve been waiting for!

STEP BY STEP TO CANADIAN PR part 1

So you wanna move to 🇨🇦 Canada?
Here’s a break down of the Express Entry — the system that decides who gets permanent residency the fastest.
If you’re confused, don’t worry , I got you. Stick to the end ⤵️

1.
First thing: Canada has two levels of immigration.
Federal programs + Provincial programs (PNPs).
Both can lead to PR.
But here’s the secret sauce, most people apply through Express Entry. 2.
Quick myth buster:
Express Entry is NOT an immigration program.
It’s the system that IRCC uses to manage your PR application.
It ranks, filters, and selects skilled workers for residency.

3.
Before 2015, getting PR could take YEARS
Now, with Express Entry, IRCC can process tens of thousands of applications quickly and efficiently.
Think of it as Canada’s immigration fast lane

10 THINGS TO DO BEFORE COMING TO THE UK THIS 2025 FOR WORK OR SCHOOL.

1. Sort out your Accommodation.
Be sure of where you’ll stay before coming. Get short stay hotel or air bnb for few days or arrange short stay with a friend. Book multiple house viewings online & pay when you arrive if you like any. Don’t enter into full accommodation contract prior to physical viewing. You might be shocked.
Sites for accommodation search -Gumtree, Spareroom, Zoopla, Rightmove, Openrent.
Rent range: £400-£1600 depends on number of rooms and the city 2.Define your relationship with your partner before relocating. If the relationship is already shaky, break up before you come. Don’t promise to bring a partner you’re not sure of to the U.K.
If ideas don’t align, reposition & clarify. Vision is progressive. Fine & responsible boys & women are all over the U.K.

3.Be sure of which post office to collect your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP). Use post office finder on google.
A BRP is
can be used to confirm your:
•identity
•right to study
•right to any public services or benefits you’re entitled to.
BRPs are being replaced by eVisas. An eVisa is an online record of your immigration status. You can still get a BRP if you were told you’d get one and you made a visa application from outside the UK.

10 THINGS I’VE LEARNT LIVING IN THE UK FOR 10 YEARS.

It’s 10yrs since I landed Heathrow airport on a cold Autumn night with a singular purpose, TO SUCCEED.
It’s been a marathon from what I thought would be a sprint.

Here are 10 things Japa has taught me;

1. An adult cannot change their accent Maintaining my Nigerian accent shows originality & separates me from the pack. Though the London top boy innit & sort of sip in sometimes. Ofc you should polish your English & pronunciation.

2. ABROAD IS NOT A PROMISED LAND.
The trajectory is loneliness>Doubt yourself>impostor syndrome>Stability then Thriving.
It will take you a minimum of 4-5yrs to finally say you’re a bit settled in this country depending on what visa type you came in with.
