Dark circles make you look 5 years older, permanently exhausted, and unwell, even on your best days.

And all you hear is “Just sleep more”. And I know you’ve tried that.

Dark circles have 6 different causes and sleep is only one of them. Here's how to find yours. 🧵 Why this matters: the cause determines the treatment.

- Under-eye creams without knowing what type of dark circles you have is useless.
- Vitamin K cream won't help you if your problem is pigmentation.
- A brightening serum won't help if your problem is volume loss.
- No cream will help if your problem is genetic.
Figure out the type first. Then treat it.

Do you need to use minoxidil solution for life?

The short answer is YES, but there’s a lot of details to it.

Here’s everything you need to know about using minoxidil🧵 One thing most people need to understand that minoxidil doesn’t cure hair loss. It manages it.

Think of it like a maintenance treatment that only works while you’re using it. Once you stop, the progress it gave you can start reversing.

Why?

I see so many tweets around hair transplant here, and get asked a lot of questions about it. So I am answering all the questions here.

This is everything you need to know about getting a hair transplant in India🧵 Hair transplant is not some cosmetic patchwork. It’s a major surgical procedure where the doctor extracts hair follicles from the back (occipital part) or sides of your scalp and places it in areas that are balding.

The hair follicles from the back are genetically not affected by DHT (Dihydrotestoterone - the hormone which causes thinning) , so even when it’s moved to the front, it keeps growing like usual. That’s why people call it a permanent solution.

One of the most commonly asked questions is “Doc what should be my skincare routine before my workout?”

Sharing the gym skincare routine that won’t clog your pores and won’t cause acne. Bookmark and save it. PRE WORKOUT:

If you work out in the morning:

1. Start by washing your face before you start. If you have oily or acne-prone skin, use a gentle cleanser to remove overnight oil and buildup. If your skin is very dry or sensitive, just rinse with plain water. You don’t need a harsh cleanse before sweating.

Retinol, Retinal, Adapalene.
You have seen them everywhere.

These are called Retinoids. And they are one of the few skincare ingredients that genuinely change skin at a cellular level.

They treat acne, boost collagen, unclog pores, improve texture, fade dark spots, and reduce fine lines.

But they’re also the most misunderstood. This is everything you need to know about them🧵 Retinoid is an umbrella term. It covers all vitamin A derivatives used in skincare. Some are mild and OTC (Over the counter). Some are prescription only and intense. And each has a role.

Men of Twitter!!

If you're clueless about skincare and don’t know where to begin, this thread is your holy grail.

Bookmark this dermat approved skincare routine! KNOW YOUR SKIN TYPE. This decides everything.

- Oily skin: Feels greasy or shiny by noon. Entire face shines. Breaks out easily. Pores visible easily.

- Dry skin: Feels tight after washing. Superficial wrinkles seen. Sometimes flaky, dull patches are also common.

- Combination skin: Oily in the T-zone (forehead and nose), dry on the cheeks.

- Normal skin: Balanced. No major concerns.

Not sure? Assume combination skin and start there.

Your hairfall will NEVER stop if you don't change these habits👇 1. Wearing tight ponytails or buns daily

Constant tension on the roots causes traction alopecia, a type of hair loss that can become permanent if repeated over time. Your follicles need relief, not constant pulling.

There’s absolutely no need to layer lots and lots of products in the name of skincare before going to bed.

Here’s a realistic PM skincare routine. Bookmark! Basic thumb rule: skincare always goes from thinnest to thickest.

Step 1: Cleanser

Wash your face with a gentle cleanser. If you wore makeup or a thick sunscreen, double-cleanse (first with an oil-based cleanser/cleansing balm to melt everything off, then follow up with your regular face wash). Otherwise, one rinse is enough.

Too many sunscreens. Too many options.

I know you are overwhelmed trying to find THE ONE, this is how you pick the one that actually works for you. Bookmark and save🧵 Image First things first, sunscreen comes in two types: Chemical and Physical (Mineral).

- Chemical sunscreen absorbs UV rays and turns them into heat, which your body releases.

- Physical sunscreen (aka mineral ones- containing zinc oxide or titanium dioxide) forms a shield on your skin that reflects UV rays.
