the quest has had me think so much about wanderer and durin. despite their uncanny similarities, in the end their fates diverged. wanderer who always felt unease bcz he felt incomplete and inhuman without a "heart" yet wished to be above humans as he + used to perceive them as weak and selfish creatures. he couldn't be a human even if he wished for it vs durin who can actually make that wish come true. iirc ppl always talked about how wanderer's body was implied to be made using khaenrian technology or it was inspired by it +
