@JohnforCFS @CatEye0611 @TurnItUp4ME @PlzSolveCFS 1⃣ NB: This proposal to add a unique code for "Post-exertional malaise/Post-exertional symptom exacerbation" relates only to the US's ICD-10-CM, which is developed/updated by NCHS/CDC. It does not relate to the WHO's ICD-10, ICD-11 or to other country modifications of ICD-10. @JohnforCFS @CatEye0611 @TurnItUp4ME @PlzSolveCFS 2⃣ Most chapters of ICD-10-CM contain no disease descriptions. If approved for implementation, the PEM/PESE terms would be added to the Tabular List of ICD-10-CM's R codes (the Symptoms, signs chapter) undefined. The terms, as currently proposed, would be listed as below ⬇️ Image

1⃣ Why do PVFS; BME; and CFS have the code 8E49 for ICD-11?

Several additional chapters have been added for ICD-11 and the coding structure and chapter numbering has been re-organized. There have been thousands of new codes added to the classification for ICD-11. 2⃣ ICD-10's

"Chapter V Mental and behavioural disorders"

becomes

"Chapter 06 Mental, behavioural or neurodevelopmental disorders" for ICD-11.
