Having watched George Galloway's Novara interview in full my take-away is I hadn't *realised* just how religious he is, & how that informs his views on lgbt+ issues. There is no JKR style hatred or bile, rather the opposite. And those upset about it should maybe have respect 1/2
for George Galloway's protected right to hold those religious views (Roman Catholicism), as much as their rights re their own protected characteristic eg gay, trans etc. Supports abortion up to 12 wks, but beyond that only in extreme circs. Bastani's video intro was hostile btw

When antisemitism smears kicked in after 2015, it took most of us by surprise & we didn't call it out
By time we learned enough about the smearers & their tactics they already had a grip on the narrative & most ppl were afraid to challenge

I remember being attacked by Jeremy D*ns as an 'antisemite' for supporting Corbyn, really vile and vicious, quite scary. To be honest, these days I'd tell him to fuck off but when it was new to me it was disconcerting and I actually tried reasoning with him #ItWasAScam
