The final verse of Zechariah is odd: "And on that day there will no longer be a Canaanite in the house of the Lord of Armies." The Canaanites of course were Israel's age-old foes, often associated with defiling idolatry. The idea here being that nothing morally corrupt can be in God's sacred house.
