As someone who does a lot of email & social selling, keeping up with my inboxes was nearly impossible.

Thus, I’ve left a lot of revenue on the table over the years.

The two biggest missed opportunities I identified were:

1/ I wasn’t responding to questions promptly (this forced prospects to look for other service providers)

2/ And when I was answering questions, I wasn’t following up after to move the conversation along

One of my big goals this year was to create a system that would allow me to organize and consolidate my sales communications and better manage current and future opportunities... By having more visibility into the dozens of ongoing conversations at any given time, I’m now moving more deals from prospects to closed clients than ever before.

After testing many solutions over the past 9 months, I’ve been most impressed with @pipedrive.

And it’s no wonder that Pipedrive is the #1 CRM for small and medium-sized enterprises.

There’s A LOT to love about Pipedrive but my 3 favorite things are:

1/ The number of integrations they have (this has made it easy to plug and play with most every other app we use to run our business).

2/ Their AI capabilities—I’m a huge AI nerd, and while most platforms are just hype when it comes to AI, Pipedrive actually delivers big here.

3/ The ease of use. It’s a lot more intuitive than every other platform I tested.

There are so many posts on how to write copy.

But there are so few posts on how actually to do proper research.

Here’s a 7-step process to research like a pro and write copy that converts:

(use this for your next copywriting session) Step 1: Define Your Target

Identify who you’re writing for. Without a clear understanding of your audience, your copy won’t resonate.

Consider:

- Interests (What hobbies or passions do they have?)
- Location (Where do they live? How does this influence their behavior?)
- Occupation (What do they do for a living? How does this shape their needs?)
- Challenges (What are their pain points? What keeps them up at night?)
- Demographics (Age, gender, income level, etc.)

Pro Tip: Create a survey or poll to directly ask your audience about their interests and challenges. Tools like @typeform or Google Forms can help you gather this data quickly.

Copywriting is applied psychology.

Specifically, applied cognitive biases.

Here are 5 cognitive biases you can use to create high-converting copy:

From a $150M+ email marketer 1. Ambiguity Bias:

Ambiguity bias is when we avoid decisions because of a lack of information.

How to use it:

Give people all the information they need about your product:

- Price
- Offer
- Benefits
- Features
- Advantages

More information = higher buying intent.

The #1 copywriting mistake I see?

Writing content that isn't credible.

Here's the 7-step checklist we use at our agency to infuse credibility into our copy: 1. Avoid Unrealistic Claims:

People can spot unrealistic claims easily.

When they find one, they usually stop reading.

So, stick to offering realistic benefits and outcomes.

There are a few ways to do this:

- Avoid inflating numbers
- Focus on tangible results
- Don't exaggerate outcomes

A small, realistic claim > a big, unrealistic one.

In copywriting, every word counts.

Ads.
Newsletters.
Email campaigns.
Social media posts.

You know where else it counts?

On your resume.

Here are 3 ways to make every word count when you're looking for a new job: 1. Think of your resume as a sales document, not a history document.

That means you need to pitch yourself to a company as the solution to their problem (a.k.a the role they're hiring for).

❌Listing everything you've ever done
