trading gaps on $ES or $NQ recently has been tough... the fill rates aren't great.
so we changed one setting on our gap fill report on ES and it took the data from 64% to 86% over the last 6 months.
here's the data + strategy breakdown:
most traders target the full gap fill. price gaps, you wait for it to retrace 100% back to yesterday's close.
on ES over the last 6 months in the NY session, full fills only hit 59% on gap ups and 64% on gap downs.
we're looking to trade setups with > 65-70% numbers.
