So many women are deceived by Beth Moore. The sad part is that Moore has been uncorrected for so long, a 2nd & 3rd generation of women think her rebellious lifestyle and her preaching is normal. Has she always been this way? Yes. I got her very first study, 🧵 “A Woman’s Heart: God’s Dwelling Place” published by Lifeway in 1995. She wrote:

"At the conclusion of each lesson you will find two questions: 1) How did God speak directly to you today? 2) What is your response to Him?”

That and this statement- 🧵

Sexual abuse/molestation is a heinous sin. I am sorry for victims of it
But, sexual abuse victimhood seems to have become a sacred cow in professing Christian circles, complete with finger wagging ‘don’t you dare’ speak to this issue from these protectors of perpetual victimology People who have been targeted by sexual predators are no more or less a victim than others who have suffered unjustly, such as victims of murder, thievery, arson, embezzlement, assault, etc. 2/

Many Southern Baptist Churches have a missions drive at Christmas, called the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. Moon is held up as a model of servanthood missionary abroad, lauded for her dedication and concern for the lost. Moon may have been concerned 1/ for the lost, in some way, but her life was actually one of feminist rebellion. Her own Board tried to recall her and mourned that she was so difficult. History revises its attitudes, and now she is seen as a heroine.

Thread,
I am confident that on the Day, Paul Washer will be held up as this century's Apostle Paul. Evangelist-missionary, tirelessly pouring himself out as a drink offering on the altar of the Gospel, his service to the Lord has been great. 1/ If you are confused by today's competing false philosophies, discouraged by the recent SBC meeting, overwhelmed with the future outlook- WATCH these HeartCry Missionary films. Short, coming in usually at around 7 minutes, they feature pastors in places as far flung as Peru, 2/

Before I was saved, reading Michener's Hawaii, missionaries were a main plot point. I was viscerally angry at "those arrogant Christians" who I felt should "leave the natives alone." Missionaries angered & mystified me. 1/ Why people chose to travel to remote places for this 'Jesus' guy was something I could never understand, but it always grabbed my attention. What WAS it about Jesus that made people DO that? I wondered. 2/
