Our dearest Yiyun Li came to dinner at our house. First we staged a long delayed balloon-popping-with-darts competition that has been proposed when one of the children of the house was perhaps 9. At dinner there was much hilarity. I regret to say that a certain proportion of the hilarity had to do with my having been attacked by geese.

Early morning Barton Springs swim report. Well, golly. I was attacked by a pair of geese! It was kind of dramatic.
