New docs reveal quarterly contacts between Ralph Baric, who exported blueprints for creating coronaviruses to the Wuhan lab, and America’s top spy agency, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.

Baric was also approached by the CIA about a coronavirus project in 2015.

ODNI in 2021 dismissed intel pointing to a lab leak as “misinformation.” This risked implicating Baric — their own bioengineering expert.

The new evidence also shows Baric gave a presentation to the ODNI in January 2020 stating COVID may have emerged from a lab. Baric said the Wuhan Institute of Virology worked on thousands of coronaviruses at a low biosafety level.

What Baric omitted: He had submitted a grant application in 2018 to make COVID-like viruses while concealing the shoddy standards in Wuhan, jotting in the margins of a draft of the grant application that Americans would “freak out” if they knew.

Major takeaways from the explosive report from two German newspapers that German intelligence pointed to a lab origin with 80-95% probability as early as 2020 — which was allegedly downplayed with the help of Biden's Director of National Intelligence. 🧵 The assessment was informed by unpublished docs and data and the published scientific literature -- including from Wuhan Institute of Virology Senior Scientist Shi Zhengli's lab.

EcoHealth Alliance used to be called The Wildlife Trust. Jeremy Farrar is the chief scientist at the WHO and was central to suppressing the lab leak theory.
Farrar helped place letters in The Lancet and in Nature Medicine that were used to suppress discussion of EcoHealth Alliance's connection to the Wuhan Institute of Virology and a possible lab origin of COVID in the media and on social media. usrtk.org/covid-19-origi…

Notably, the committee alleges EcoHealth Alliance obstructed its investigation. Daszak omitted and doctored subpoenaed records. Like perjury and false statements, this could expose Daszak to criminal charges.

Daszak was VERY determined to maintain his relationship to the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

This may help explain why he was VERY determined to keep his communications with the FBI out of the public eye.

Daszak: “It’s massively damaging to our reputation to reveal the discussions I had with [FBI] about this and we need to avoid this at all costs. [emphasis mine] … We’ll be seen as spies, not scientists.”

He never directly asked the lab for any information about a possible accident. He obviously never felt any obligation to get answers for the American people. Given what I’ve observed about his character, that’s not all that surprising.

But he wasn’t even willing to ask for this info. to get grant funding back. That IS surprising. I don’t think it’s conspiratorial to wonder why he prioritized access to the Wuhan lab to this degree.

Also in @COVIDSelect's final report, out just now, EcoHealth Alliance President Peter Daszak NEVER actually asked the Wuhan Institute of Virology for data and notes in compliance with NIH's requests, forwarding an NIH letter with a tepid note.

The World Bank held a closed-door meeting with EcoHealth Alliance in 2018 on preparing for pandemics — “natural, intentional, or accidental.”

After COVID emerged near its partner lab in Wuhan, EcoHealth denied that the pandemic could have been caused by an accidental release.

The Wuhan lab’s database of coronaviruses became inaccessible in early 2020. EcoHealth Alliance had helped fund their discovery.

These emails were sent in August 2021. Daszak would not ask his collaborators in Wuhan for data until Jan. 2022.

Sen. Rand Paul opens a bipartisan hearing on COVID origins by reading the statements of virologists who privately agonized about the lab leak theory but cried "conspiracy theory!" publicly.

He includes the statements of Bob Garry, one of those virologists, who is a witness today.
