.@RandPaul enjoying a burger at The Big Board and chatting w/ staffers also there to show support for the DC restaurant, which the DC health dept just just shut down about an hour ago after it openly refused to enforce vax/mask mandates . @RepThomasMassie @RepTimBurchett, and @RepSpartz also showed up to support the just-shut-down Big Board joint. Rand Paul had pre planned showing up to support but had no idea the DC health dept was about to shut it down over vax/mask noncompliance

Thinking about all the women with two surnames becoming known by their initials like AOC, RGB, ACB and noticing that a requirement seems to be that the last consonant must have an “eee” sound? I don’t see this trend with Catherine Cortez Masto, for instance. CCM might work tho Michelle Lujan Grisham could go by MLG, that’s in line with the “rule” I mentioned above

Kamala Harris mistakenly refers to Notoriois BIG when talking about RBG during a speech today on Trump’s nomination of ACB Just another point in favor of my position that we should ban the use of acronyms altogether

About Joe Biden playing Despacito from his phone –

Not only was he introduced by Louis Fonsi (who recorded the song), but Biden has a history of telling musical artists at his campaign events that he has their song on his phone and then playing it. washingtonexaminer.com/news/heres-why… In an August fundraiser that featured Carole King, Biden told her that he has her song on his phone and then played "I Feel the Earth Move." He uses Apple Music, per pooler @brittanys Image

"Why you all don't just write, 'He's a fraud,'" Biden says to reporters about coverage of Trump, saying that statement is "not opinion." More Biden: "Among the brightest people I've dealt with my whole career have in the press, not a joke. You are extremely well educated, you will read a significant background. And – and the vast majority have tried to report news, not just opinion. But I can't believe ...

Inside the scaled-back but still in-person COVID-careful Republican National Committee meeting in Charlotte – here's how participants feel about the safety measures and how the mandatory mask-wearing is going in the eerily quiet Charlotte city center
washingtonexaminer.com/news/inside-th… The Westin hotel where RNC members are gathering is closed to the public. Inside, a sign encourages elbow bumps & forbids hugs. Delegates wear contact tracing "safety fobs" so they'll be alerted if they come in contact w/ someone COVID-positive. washingtonexaminer.com/news/inside-th… ImageImage

SO MANY QUESTIONS. Does he do work and hang out in there or just look at it? What percentage of his house does this replica take up? And what does the rest of the house look like? Is there a plan to eventually open this up for ticketed tours, or make it into a novelty AirBnB? Wow, here are more pics of Frank Luntz's house: hollywoodreporter.com/gallery/inside… ImageImageImageImage

NEW: A liberal group is sending masses of mail-in ballot applications to voters across the country

Official-looking mailing confuses some

Tens of thousands of the mailings have incorrect info, contrary to group's goal

Govt elections officials are peeved washingtonexaminer.com/news/liberal-g… The mailings from the 501(c)4 Center for Voter Information and its 501(c)3 partner are an apparent attempt to promote the mail-in voting method in states not automatically mailing the ballot applications themselves.

There's a lot of 👀 Biden moments here

- Getting visibly irritated at being asked about a cognitive test
- Incorrectly saying Trump didn't distinguish between 🐘 and 🦁
- Comparing question to drug test and mock-asking journalist of color if he's a junkie
washingtonexaminer.com/news/biden-vis… Biden has often gotten visibly irritated when asked about his age, mental capacity, or controversial aspects of his record.

Who can forget when he challenged an Iowa voter to a push-up contest and IQ test and told him 'you're a damn liar':

Super awkward Tucker Carlson to Sean Hannity hand-off. Carlson’s last segment attacked Amazon and Jeff Bezos. Hannity says people can make money and provides goods and services, this is America. New populist right vs. free market conservatism in a nutshell ImageImage

Tucker Carlson reports, citing source familiar, that the stepmother of ex-Atlanta officer Garret Rolfe — Melissa Rolfe — was fired from her HR manager job at Equity Prime Mortgage in Atlanta with little explanation. Told: “We have to terminate our relationship with you.” After the segment aired and after commercial break, Tucker said just after the segment aired, the company got back to the show with a statement that said the firing had to do with social media posts and stressed commitment to diversity

Regarding this Federalist/NBC/Google saga – Seeing lots of focus on NBC for activist-journalisming or "getting the story wrong," but looks to me like there's more going on here on Google's end that's the bigger story.

Touched on this yesterday, but here's a longer thread... A UK NBC bureau reached out to Google about a list of 10 websites complied by a UK nonprofit. Google responded in part, "In this case, we’ve removed both sites’ ability to monetize with Google.” Image

Biden himself to CBS: "No, I don’t support defunding the police. I support conditioning federal aid to police based on whether or not they meet certain basic standards of decency and honorableness and, and in fact are able to demonstrate they can protect the community" Here is the point I believe Biden is referring to, mentioned in his criminal justice plan: $300M for community policing program grants joebiden.com/justice/ Image
