So I thought about this and I think there’s an element of truth here, but both the issue and the problem are mis-diagnosed. The average age of divorce is 30, almost all divorces are between people ages 29 and 39…why? Is it just women?
The hardest years of marriage, I think, are years 9 through 15ish, give or take, which coincides with the late 20 to early 40s. But it’s not as simple as “women just get horny for other guys and want a payday!” though I have a cousin who did that and she sucks, and I do see both men and women in couples we know that have abandoned “good” situations for “greener” pastures…
