Job hunting can be exhausting, especially in this market. When job hunting, how do you take care of yourself to ensure you have energy to keep pushing? Want to be promoted?

1. Tell your manager
2. Ask them for a bullet point list of things they’d need to see from you to feel comfortable promoting you
3. Continually check in w/ them to see how you’re progressing against that checklist

This will increase your chances of success. Too often people assume their manager either knows they want to be promoted or people assume they’re on the same page as their manager when it comes to how close to a promotion they are. It’s important to minimize these assumptions.

Folks often ask me to give them gift suggestions for the whiskey lover in their life so I wanted to shout them out loud.

A thread. My favorite tasting glasses are NOSR, Neat, and the classic Karen.

It's officially been 3 months since I decided to take a break from working, and let me tell you...this has been one of the best decisions I've ever made and taking time to simply exist (outside of finding my next perfect role) has forever changed me. Some folks have asked what I've learned so far and instead of responding individually, I wanted to do a "one for all".

If a candidate doesn't show up to an interview, and they don't have a solid excuse other than "It slipped my mind", how big of a red flag is that to you? Sometimes it's hard to strike a balance between extending grace and being foolish lol But I found this convo amongst friends to be interesting and was curious to know what my twitter fam would think.
