🧵I worry that, with the way Covid has been politicised, we're leaving concern with freedom to the far right just out of path dependence. And so we're letting ourselves be painted as the old nanny state fanatics, masochistic puritans etc--sometimes not without reason, given...1/9
...vaccines and all we now know about spread, interventions, treatment, omicron, etc. At the beginning we were the side that rightly took this seriously. Now we need to remain serious by having the courage to openly discuss revisions to our original stance based on new facts. 2/9
