Judge Engoron just tore into Trump, accusing him of having potentially violated the gag order again with comments he made outside the courtroom. Judge said he is under the impression Trump again disparaged his law clerk. Trump lawyer Chris Kise argued Trump was referring to Cohen Here is what Trump said: "it would have been fair at least...because no negative jury would vote against me. But this judge will, because this judge is a very partisan judge with a person who's very partisan sitting alongside… perhaps even much more partisan than he is.”

Celebrity attorneys Michael Avenatti and Mark Geragos proposed to federal prosecutors in Brooklyn last week that Avenatti provide them with info in exchange for a “benefit” to Geragos's client, Seagram's heiress Clare Bronfman, Judge Garaufis said Thursday. Their proposal occurred March 19, the judge said, the same day Avenatti is alleged to have threatened to extort sportswear company Nike, a matter for which he was charged by Manhattan federal prosecutors on Monday.

NEW: Michael Cohen pleaded guilty this morning in Manhattan federal court to one count of false statements to Congress in connection with “the Moscow project.” Prosecutors were members of the special counsel’s team, including Jeannie Rhee & Andrew Goldstein. “I made these statements to be consistent with Individual-1’s political messaging and to be loyal to Individual-1,” Cohen said in court.
