And the 6wk Abortion Ban is in its final House committee now & on the Senate floor later today. We'll keep you updated throughout the day.

Tonight, the Sarasota community showed up to support openly-LGBTQ School Board member Tom Edwards after he was subjected to bigoted hate at the last meeting — hate that Board Chair and DeSantis acolyte Bridget Ziegler refused to put a stop to. EQFL speaks out in support of Tom When Tom was again subjected to anti-LGBTQ hate that Chair Ziegler did nothing to address, he left the meeting — to cheers of support from the community.

Ziegler has allowed hate to hijack the conversation long enough. Tom deserves better. The entire community does.

Today, the FL Board of Education voted unanimously on new rules designed to intimidate school districts and teachers that affirm LGBTQ students — including expanding the enforcement of the Don’t Say LGBTQ law.
