1/ Baptists do not believe in having a Pope. This includes the "shut up and listen to the experts" variety like college presidents or profs, well known authors, prominent megachurch pastors, or #BigEva elites. 2/ The Priesthood of the Believer - Every believer today is a priest of God & may study Gods Word, pray, & offer worship thru our Great High Priest, Jesus. No other mediator is needed between God and people. We all have equal access to God—whether we are a preacher or not.
