Restaurants that don't understand that letting in unvaccinated people all willy nilly will lead them to close and/or go back into shutdowns again. When the majority of people in your area are vaccinated there is no reason to do business with the lesser. Serving unvaccinated entitled guests short-term. Investing your time and resources in vaccinated guests is the only option.

Restaurants that laid people off right at the beginning of the pandemic that are now ramping up hiring and not realizing that people don't want to be abandoned again. Also, lots of service workers died. Please attach that comment to any worker shortage story. Also, during recessions restaurants were fall back plans for people out of jobs. During the last recession people left real estate jobs and got jobs in restaurants as FOH/bartenders. They were safe, for the most part. Now? Not at all. Why go there? No reason to.

I just don't trust the restaurant recovery act to help as many people as it should and feel like it's dragging on so smaller restaurants either close or just feel overwhelmed with applying that they don't. Considering the NRA and IRC are both lead by rich corporate restaurants and 1%er chefs/restaurateurs it makes sense for them because they have all the resources to drag along with the process. Accountants aplenty, stability with investors to wait, and being part of the process.
