Unreliable neighbor. Twitter enthusiast. Sometimes known as Anne or Ingrid. Not sure why. I go to ballgames, the bleachers are fine. Not actually bad at math.

if your employees are drawing unemployment it’s probably because they paid into while working for at least a year before their hours were reduced or cut due to no fault of their own

and essentially you wanted them to wait by the phone for your call to come back to shitty wages every minimum wage employee who lost work due to the pandemic had to immediately figure something else out because they don’t have the luxury of waiting for you to be able to start paying them again

they’ve got ten different side hustles going, they don’t have time for your shit

“I found out what they were planning when a friend of mine screenshot me an Instagram story from the Proud Boys saying, ‘We’re breaching the capitol today, guys. I hope y’all ready.’”

jesus “The officers said they were wrong footed, fighting off an invading force that their managers had downplayed, and not prepared them for. They had all been issued gas masks, for example, but management didn’t tell them to bring them in on the day.”

what the actual fuck

See, the thing about taking a stand is that it forces others to pick a side.

This is not the answer to the problem of QAnon or white supremacy or Donald Trump.

But it makes it harder for them to recruit, and harder to amplify the violent rhetoric. It’s about time. We don’t have to let them plan the violence right out in the open. That’s not freedom.

This man has patches bearing the Punisher skull and the thin blue line through the State of Tennessee, so I think the real question is was there a plan to take hostages by a member of Tennessee law enforcement, or just one of their groupies. also a good reminder that we’re currently only seeing prosecution of the biggest idiots

This is pure speculation, but I can’t help but wonder if the Capitol police were offended by leaders telling them their response to BLM and healthcare protests were excessive, and maybe thought a watered down response yesterday would provide Congress an important object lesson. Not sure which would be worse: ineptitude, or insubordination.

I called to make a doctor’s appointment to refill my meds, and it turns out my doctor died of COVID last week.

Jesus. The receptionist started crying.

It’s been so long since I actually spoke out loud to someone not from my household that I was fully unprepared to deal with any part of this situation.

probably a good time to remind everyone that 4% of registered voters in 2013 believed in the lizard people conspiracy

and that was before Trump and Newsmax got ahold of your parents nbcnews.com/news/us-news/g… 7% of voters thought the moon landing was faked

13% of voters thought Barack Obama was the anti-Christ

20% of voters believed there was a link between childhood vaccines and autism

37% of voters thought global warming was a hoax

The GOP is about to find out that rallying your base around the lie that our elections are rigged leaves them no motivation to participate in democracy.

The next step for the disillusioned will be apathy or, god help us, sedition. They’ve left no path for party-building. In some of the darkest days in our history, certainly in my experience, the Women’s March was a beautiful, peaceful moment of commitment to protecting our institutions, and improving them.

The party of this President won’t have that, and I hope many will reflect on why that is.
