A thread about "online discourse" in times of scandal and abuse allegations I understand the instinct to tell people to avoid discussing things on social media. Online communication is not always helpful. But I also think that some of that is naïve. There is normally a host actionably cruel things communicated by clergy online with little policing.

There is some discussion about women’s ordination in the ACNA. Some clarity about data and polity is in order. Here is the ASA (average Sunday attendance) in the ACNA by diocesan policy. The reason why this matters will be explained below. 6 dioceses do not ordain women (four of which are REC). ASA (2022): 9,066
8 dioceses ordain to the diaconate only. ASA (2022): 21,173
11 dioceses ordain women to diaconate+ Priesthood ASA (2022): 42,694
3 dioceses ordain women to the diaconate but license female priest: 2302

I want to present this to my fellow @The_ACNA male clergy as a matter for reflection and prayer. It kept bothering me as the months rolled by (1/6) A disproportionate number of clergy who have spoken about the the abuse situation in the province and who have signed the letter are our female clergy. is it possible that they are seeing something that we refuse to see?
Why *this* particular divide on *this* issue?
