I'm still struggling to process the full awfulness of The Times' expose yesterday, about the appalling practices of @BritishGas in fitting pay-as-you-go meters in the homes of vulnerable people.

It brought back terrible memories of my brother's suicide... The first time I encountered a P-A-Y-G meter was after my brother hanged himself. My sister and I went to his house. There was the drift of hell mail on the table: 'FINAL DEMAND', 'IF YOU DO NOT PAY' etc. The thing we noticed was how cold the house was...

Oh man - Terry Hall.

Me and some pals have an occasional covers band - weddings, parties, anything. Due to all of us having worked in 'the biz' we've brought in some powerful ringers to sing with us over the years... James Bradfield, Tim Burgess, Lila Moss, Suggs, The Magic Numbers, Edwyn Collins. Even - no shit - Chas & Dave.
