I completed the most arduous physical challenge of my life — over 110km (70 miles) of intense trekking in the Himalayas of western Nepal. I’d planned to go farther but ended up with a nasty case of altitude sickness, so descended sooner than expected. Image I found my own limitation and spent many hours arguing with myself about it. I was dizzy, nauseous, had headaches & my resting heart rate had doubled from 60 to 117bpm. But should I continue anyway?

I’ve been angel investing for 2yrs and am excited to support more early stage founders by being a @sequoia scout! I’m especially passionate about consumer products that help people heal, connect or prosper. Feel free to slide into my DMs or email me (via the link in my bio). Some things I’ve learned about working in the midst of a media storm 🧵 Use Twitter to make any statements or comments — you don’t need anyone else to mediate your thoughts. Of course your Tweets can and will be taken out of context but it’s still the safest path. It’s also okay to stay silent and not comment.

I have teammates around the world who are putting in the effort to bring something new to life so it's important to me to show up for them & keep the team unblocked.

/1 This picture is one of my favorite memories & represents a pivotal moment in my life. It’s the day I met my dad — right before my 8th birthday. I had been a secret kid til then. Read on for the back story... /2 One of my earliest memories is being 4yrs old and talking to him on the phone. I lived with my mom in California but he lived in Oregon. I begged to see him and he said yes. I’d look out the window wondering when he was going to come over. He never did.
