on one hand, i share the sentiment of compute needing to be open at all costs to avoid a few people controlling everything

on the other hand, even if we end up in the bad timeline, there is always a way out of that very situation and no i am not talking about taking your own life that is not a solution i am talking about some other ideas :) those ideas clearly being hosting a gmod server and a minecraft one and endearing them to play until they are physically too tired to do anything, clearly.

this is not a nintendo thing or anything btw

the italian "guardia di finanza" has been doing stuff like this since forever, they went under the radar for a while but in general i do remember from someone close to me that used to be active on italian hacking communities that a pretty widespread enforced rule was that you NEVER talk about ROMs and NEVER give them anything, the ONLY stuff you were allowed to talk about were LEGAL backups you made of your games, and of course wow some people did indeed manage to backup games even before they officially came out somehow basically if they want (that's a big if) to go against you and do have any kind of minimum proof you are somehow involved in selling products that ship with copyrighted roms (in this case anbernic consoles that had some old nintendo games on a microsd afaik) they can argue you are facilitating piracy and potentially fine you or even jail you

it's unlikely they do jail you for this but yeah copyright law in italy can be pretty brutal, which is funny considering everyone and i mean EVERYONE is a pirate

i know a guy who knows a guy who had a relative in that police branch and played pretty much every ps1 game under the sun right when it came out because his dad got them as "evidence" raiding "counterfeiters" lmao

UPDATE: Keychron actually... sent me the mouse lol
so it's time to keep my side of the bargain and tell you what I think about it

I have been using this mouse for the past 2 weeks now, on both my desktop computer (using the cute small USB-C receiver you can see in the replies to this post) and on my Macbook (using Bluetooth)

The mouse seems to be designed as an affordable (49 dollars for the 1k model and 69 for the 4k model) alternative to Logitech's MX Master, being a rechargable (using USB-C) productivity oriented mouse: HOWEVER, it is WAYYYYYY lighter, clocking at around 80 grams compared to Logitech's offering which weights around 140

I have relatively small to medium hands so I usually tend to go for smaller mice than this, to avoid them being super heavy: however, for the size, this mouse basically weighs nothing lol I love itImage

The M6 is available in two variants: one with a polling rate of 1000hz and one with a polling rate of 4000, the sample they sent me is a 4000hz one and when using the USB-C receiver I can genuinely say I can't absolutely discern any difference between it and a wired mouse.

It is VERY comfortable for gaming and the extra buttons compared to my older "basic" Ajazz gaming mouse have been super useful when bound to Discord's mute microphone/speaker features playing multiplayer games with my friends

The Bluetooth is a bit less smooth, but that's mostly a problem of the protocol and not the mouse: I haven't ever tried a mouse that working over bluetooth could match a dedicated receiver
That said, I found it to be perfectly usable for productivity tasks like writing and editing

You can switch between the receiver and bluetooth mode from a single button, and the same also goes for DPI and polling rate (you can't control polling rate for bluetooth, it is stuck at 125hz, but you can use the button on the top right here to switch between different devices using bluetooth, like a desktop computer, a laptop and a tablet, all paired at the same time)Image
