Tsargrad’s “coming out” today is a naked Nazi manifesto. It admits Russia hit the children’s hospital in Kyiv on June 8. Says the killing of civilians in Ukraine is nothing to be shy about, because there is “no such thing as a Ukrainian human being, only Nazi to be eliminated.” From the Tsargrad screenshot below: “the talks about humanism are playing to the benefit of the enemy. Those who pity the enemy’s children do not pity their own. Humanism is in ending the war, and this war could only be ended with victory.” Image

Important reminder: Russia lost its first war to Chechnya, including informationally, the world’s sympathy was with Chechen freedom fighters. Before launching the 2nd retaliatory war, Russia chose a different strategy - a hybrid war. 1 The FSB under director Vladimir Putin infiltrated the Chechen resistance (secular at the time) with agents posing as Islamic insurgents, it also allowed pores in the borders with Georgia/Azerbaijan to let real Islamists in to support radical transformation of Chechen forces 2

A speech at the European Parliament (there was a 5-minute limitation) with @AnnaFotyga_PE

As we approach the 9 year anniversary of Russia’s colonial aggression in Ukraine, we, the Circassians remember a similar aggression that began nearly 200 years ago but never ended. 🧵1/10 As a result, my nation Circassia was eliminated, its territories annexed, its people exterminated, and deported. There are at least 6 times more Circassians living abroad than there are Circassians remaining in the occupied homeland. 🧵2/10

Frequently cited Telegram channel “General of SVR” writes today that the Makiivka “disaster” caused much havoc in Russia with various ministries and security agencies all reporting to Putin with a 24 hour delay and different numbers of casualties - Defense ministry least of all. Putin settled on the numbers provided by his Sec. Council head & FSB colleague Patrushev, that is 312 dead and 157 wounded. The intelligences (FSB, GRU, SVR etc) blamed the military for a “tragic failure” & demanded reprisals. Putin’s to announce his decision in 24 hours.”

Article 68 of Russian Constitution actually says that Russian language is “the official language throughout RF territory” as a language of the “state-founding Russian people” (in both cases Russki). Then goes on saying regions have the right to make their languages official too. ImageImage So, since the language is a constitutional right, the local governments in Kabardino-Balkaria and Karachai-Cherkessia decide to make Circassian and Karachai/Balkar languages official, meaning also a mandatory study for public schools, +money in budget to hire language teachers.

To a non-Russian born in 🇷🇺, the whole “Latvian scandal” looks more like a clash of cultures rather than a press freedom issue. In 🇷🇺n constitution ethnic Russians are a “titular nation.” They’re indoctrinated with being a “superior nation” so, equality they see as Russophobia When being treated equally with any other people in a host country most ethnic Russian people who grew up in USSR/Russia get confused, then they assume the position of a victim, self pity and claims of Russophobia become routine conversation topics, I’ve seen this many times.

This 🧵/1 is about the Kremlin, not the abstract epitome of Russia’s authoritarian regime, but the physical building and some creepy facts about its contemporary (Soviet and post-Soviet) history, which I often think would help to better understand Russia and its people. 🧵/2 First, The Mausoleum- that pyramid-type structure from which Vladimir Putin, like every other Soviet/Russian leader before him observes these pompous military parades they hold every May 9, a victory day in the Great Patriotic War (which we know is in fact WWII).

My great grandmother told me a story she heard from her grandmother: “The Russians would come after 2 in the morning hoping to get to the village while it was still asleep, and kill everyone. But our animals would alert us of their coming & we’d run and hide in the mountains… Image “For a long time we did not know why all the animals in the village, cows, horses, gods, even gees would simultaneously start screaming like in horror. We even believed it was a sign from above that the gods were protecting us… 2

Rakhmon to Putin sum up: All we hear is sharing information, but what information? Everything is fake, everything is a cover up. Europe and U.S. must know what is happening in reality, and what is happening is that we have problems, we, the Central Asians have problems with you. Rakhmon to Putin: We have 2 million ethnic Russians. Russian language is a required study from kindergarten to university. But we don’t have Russian language text books, we ask, and ask, and ask, and I don’t want to offend you, but you don’t care.

My speech @HelsinkiComm Panel today:
Honorable Members of the Commission, distinguished colleagues and staff,
I am speaking today in my personal capacity and expressing my own views, which do not represent those of the Voice of America or the U.S. government. 🧵1 More importantly, I am honored to speak on behalf of millions of my fellow Circassians, those living in a forced exile and those suffering under Russian occupation in the homeland. We call it Heku - the middle of the sea. 🧵2

🧵the following information comes from a source within Ru executive, I can’t vouch for its accuracy but can vouch for the source, as the information they shared in the past proved accurate. Sharing this as a raw food for thought, not as verified facts. below are direct quotes. “Up until now Ru strategy was to test Ukraine defense capabilities, locate, ID & destroy mobile command centers, which Rus special troops succeeded in at two places so far. Russians believe in reality they’re fighting the Americans & refer to the Ukrainian defense accordingly.”

I have a wild but educated guess, could be wrong, but what if 🇷🇺obvious targeting of nuclear power plants is more than taking control of energy sector? What if this is a false flag operation to plant fake evidence that 🇺🇦 was using civilian plants to develop nuclear weapons? Why am I saying this? Here is the head of Russian SVR (foreign intelligence) Naryshkin claiming that Ukraine had technical and material capabilities to develop its own nuclear weapons.

Russia’s main state news agency RIA Novosti posted, then removed a piece with invaluable insight into what Putin wanted to gain from the war he waged against Ukraine. Apparently, the war was supposed to end on Feb. 26 with 🇺🇦full irreversible capitulation. web.archive.org/web/2022022622… 2. Putin was supposed to emerge a victorious unifier, savior and the leader of the “Russian world” announcing immediately after the defeat of Kyiv a new state that included “all three parts of the Russian nation” - Ru, Ukraine, Belarus.

I saw ppl saying: can’t be true that many Ru soldiers did not know where they were going. This thread explains how. I’m not there but, I spoke with a soldier’s mom from a small village in Ru and others, here is what they told me. 1 Soldier’s mom: “Last time we spoke 2weeks ago he told me he was in Luhansk, and that because of the drills, he won’t be able to talk for a wile, they take away their phones. Today, somebody called me and told me my son & 2 others from our village are 200.” (200 code for dead). 2

A source tells me that many Russian tanks/heavy machines don’t simply run out of fuel — crews dump the fuel intentionally, as soon as they learn that their destination is Kyiv. After all they’ve been told that they were going as “peacekeepers” to “protect Russians” in Donbas. don’t mean, that they’re suddenly stricken with shame & don’t want to obey orders. What I’m told is that their reasons are much simpler than that: heavy machinery is an easy target for anybody, while a death trap for the riders & they don’t want to die So it’s fear, not sympathy
