The French proposal for unlocking the Bulgarian blockade is a disaster for enlargement. While it looks good to end the 🇧🇬 veto, it achieves little and holds great dangers: 1. it incorporates the bilateral dispute into the EU negotiating process, giving legitimacy & encouragement to future EU members blocking accession countries.

The notion of "muslim Serbs" is part of extreme Serb nationalism discourse, denying the existence of a Muslim/Bosniak nation.
