I have some wonderful news 🥹 TAFFY has been adopted! 😭🩷

This cat was so upset being at the rescue, I was a little nervous for how he'd adjust in a new home. I made sure his new person would be understanding and go at his pace.

When he was with us, he was so stressed from his whole heartbreaking ordeal that he was shutting down and when we'd try to break through to him, he'd often get angry and lash out.

I have terrible, disturbing, infuriating news. Wonton was adopted on Thursday to what seemed like a great home. She left as a healthy, perfect, playful kitten. Friday morning, just 20 hrs later, she was returned to me broken, bleeding, in critical condition.
The first night in her new home, Wonton got out of a window screen and fell 5 f*cking stories to the ground. The adopter didn't realize until morning, found where she had managed to drag herself under a car, and called me (thank god for that part).

Walter is at least 14 y/o (his microchip was implanted in 2010). I was able to get in contact with the person on the microchip today, who didn’t tell me what happened, just that they didn’t want the cat back. I think he’s been outside fending for himself for a while.

well I have some developments to share for anyone who remembers Boots, the misleadingly friend-shaped feral guy I TNR'd last year and have been feeding and begging to let me touch him this whole time to no avail
he got his butt kicked in a fight and wasn't bouncing back in the timely manner he was allotted, just seemed weak and feeling crummy, so I trapped him again to get him some vet care this past weekend
