Why would it be easier to think of someone as “mentally ill” by “pretending” that the meds & surgery have become their own ends, rather than simply a means to relieve mental distress? I don’t think they’re crazy; I think they’ve been duped… @asskickerofyou @LeorSapir That many many teens have been told that the distress they experience as teens will be relieved once they transition; & once everyone sees them for “who they really are”, which incidentally is someone completely different to who they are “now.” Looks different, feels different…
