term limits:
- increase polarization
- increase the influence of lobbyists and outside groups
- decrease the connection between legislators and constituents.
- term limited electeds do much less constituent service work than non-term limited electeds. nearly all political science evidence demonstrates that term limits at best, do nothing, and at worst, make things far worse!

i think that we’re going to see a pretty strong sort of reaction to the fact our politics has been focused on white working class people in the midwest for a decade. and i think college graduates are going to be super super into it. even the ones that are doing perfectly well, i think there’s going to be a pretty big upswell of “i’m fucking sick and tired of 50,000 random hicks in pennsylvania deciding the president every 4 years”.

honestly incredible that JD Vance managed to fuck up theology so badly that the fucking Pope had to issue a statement saying he got it wrong. That's like fucking up your science fair model rocket so badly the administrator of NASA has to issue a statement calling you out on it. Like, it's genuinely incredible to fuck up so public that the Pope has to take time out of his day to call you an idiot. That's a level of dumbassery that is kind of unprecedented.

The final result was 49.90 (Bush) -49.23 (Kerry)
That means Selzer underestimated Kerry by about 1pt and Bush by about 7ish-pts. Selzer's poll has Trump at 44%. So assuming she's off by the same amount as 2004, 6 pts in favor of GOP, then Trump is at 50%. If Trump is at 50 in Iowa, he's fucked. Sorry! But if Trump falls below 50% in Iowa, he's already lost MI,WI,PA,NC,GA,AZ,NV, hell it's not looking to great in places like TX or FL either. Trump winning 50% in Iowa is really, really bad for him. The only thing worse at that point is losing Iowa.

hate to be That Guy, but Resistance Liberalism is probably the most successful anti-fascist campaign in America since the 1940s. Yes it doesn't follow the normal mold of also being a Left-Wing movement, but it is, fundamentally, an anti-fascist movement. It combines people from across the political spectrum, unifying them on a single goal: Defeating Fascism. Like I genuinely don't know what else you can call a coalition that spans from AOC to Dick Cheney than an anti-fascist coalition. The express goal of this coalition is to
