There's a thing happening in these pictures because of midjourney's confusion about the "meaning" of these heavy vertical lines, they live in an ambiguous space between being bars on a window in front of the view and pillars in the distance.

When I was a freshman I signed up for a grad seminar in contemporary art cause I didn’t understand how college worked. Anne Truitt let me stay because she was cool. I learned a lot. The internet is like that, full of opportunities to jump ahead of where you’re “supposed” to be.
One of the things Anne taught me that I’ll never forget is the idea that you don’t need to immediately pass judgment on every new artist you encounter. You can let them “circle the airport”. You don’t have to bring them in for a landing or send them away, just let them circle.
