I think someday labor historians will look upon this 3/20 interview btw @DrLaPook & Fauci & recognize it as THE critical pivot point in U.S. labor rights history.

2 days before CDC stripped healthcare workers of long standing OSHA enforced respiratory protections this aired.🧵 -
Let’s start with Fauci’s claim using racist framing no less (which went largely unchallenged by LaPook), “…& look at the films in China & S. Korea or whatever & everybody’s wearing a mask. Right now in the [US] ppl should not be walking around with masks.”

LaPook’s response:

Translation, “We’re about to lie to the public about the need for fit-tested, NIOSH level PPE. We cannot get caught in that lie, so CDC officers have been told not to wear PPE in public.”

This had absolutely nothing to do with “panic” & everything to do with misleading ppl. -
Proof: both videos are from 2020. Fauci admits he lied in the first video later that year. In the second video he lies again by falsely equivocating ear loop masks with NIOSH N95s. Document is from CDC early 2020 where they both acknowledge the need for masks & then skirt it. twitter.com/i/web/status/1…

Come 2-4 years from now the deep, deep regret for endorsing full census schooling without basic, airborne-congruent hygiene standards for children will become apparent. SARS2 isn’t attenuated & hybrid immunity is debunked. The only solutions are elimination based👇 -
By the end of 2020 & before schools in the U.S. reopened to full census classrooms, we had a mountain of data clearly demonstrating the harms of pediatric SARS-CoV-2 exposure. I never once saw a pediatrician provide informed consent along WITH their guidance to reopen schools👇

Saw unmasked employees cleaning up what may have been bloody vomit at a local retailer today. @CDCgov, you might want to issue a public health alert ⚠️. How will employees know how to SAFELY clean up what could be a prank vs SARS2 or Ebola viral laden vomitus in retail outlets? @OSHA_DOL @HHSGov, any thoughts? Current guidance encourages unmasked employees without any NIOSH approved gear or robust (ie BSL4) contact precautions to clean up what is potentially bloody vomit off of a retail floor during a SARS2 epidemic wave & possible importation of Ebola.

@jmcrookston In all sincerity, I’ve been meaning to look into the literature to formulate some sort of valid comparison btw the risks of smoking (ex, 2PPD X 10 years) with getting SARS2 once. That sort of analysis is needed to dispel the current effort to misinform the public about SARS2. @jmcrookston Alright. I can see from the response to this post people want this data. In terms of cardiac risks of smoking vs COVID, the first analysis I’ll review (here) is via telomere length. What I’ve found is shocking. The data comparison comes from these 2 papers👇

A HCW strike is the only way to get control of this situation. The predatory private health insurance industry, pharmaceutical interests. & Democrat/Republican donor interests are holding this nation’s people/environment hostage. We have ALL the power. It’s time to exercise it. -
If all HCWs gave 4-weeks notice of resignation with specific, nonnegotiable demands that must be met in full to come back to work, we CAN quickly have the following:

✅single payor M4A
✅TOTAL student loan forgiveness for all
✅ZeroCovid
✅Airborne OSHA PPE/mitigations for all

According to @CDCgov, SARS2 is so MILD, no data tracking needed during an exponential wave🤷‍♀️. No mass testing needed per Biden🤷‍♀️.

Folks, the best way to reduce hospitalizations is for 100% of HCWs to quit their jobs.

👉We haven’t tried everything until we’ve tried nothing. ImageImageImage -
The problem isn’t the virus; it’s the tracking of the virus.

The problem isn’t permissive community transmission; it’s the community TESTING themselves.

The problem isn’t hospitals overrun with patients; it’s hospitals staffed by healthcare workers.

@anthonyzenkus @AngelG_1981 Here’s why. A 🧵. Imagine a cohort of wealthy DNC donors each has a 100K shares of UHG stock. The value would have ⬆️$4.4 million since Biden-Harris were inaugurated. DEMOCRATS have shoveled MOUNTAINS of cash w/ COBRA & ACA subsidies to this industry since being inaugurated.
1/👇 Image @anthonyzenkus @AngelG_1981 Now, those donors are **currently** exerting MASSIVE pressure on their TOP elected lobbyists, Biden & Harris, to both BLOCK a public option/M4A & cont to shovel public cash to the private health insurance industry. dailyposter.com/p/news-biden-l…

ACA/private health insurance in a nutshell:

Imagine this ultra wealthy guy shows up at the end of every medical appointment you’ll ever have. He doesn’t provide healthcare. He didn’t give you a ride to your appt. He doesn’t even work in the office where you’re being seen.🧵1/ This guy’s job is to pay your medical bill. That’s it. He pays the RNC/DNC millions/yr to convince them to let him be **the payor** for ACA plans & employer sponsored health insurance plans, etc.

Him “paying” your bill is the ONLY thing that truly gives you “access” to care.

@BreyBrey750 @Westcottling_2 @LuisAFi12201516 @drmistercody Sure. I’m an RN and APRN. I live in Indiana. Many of my tweets and who I follow reflect that. This person is mischaracterizing me and my tweets. The goal of a general strike IS to crash the stock market (where the wealthy keep their $) as to give workers leverage. @BreyBrey750 @Westcottling_2 @LuisAFi12201516 @drmistercody It is NOT to starve workers, etc. That’s the whole point, to hurt the owners financially in order to get a living wage for the workers, M4A for everyone, UBI for everyone, rent/housing assistance. Heck, even sm biz help. I do not live overseas. This dude’s 22 tweet diatribe...

@AnaKasparian Nurse here, Ana! I have both a BSN and MSN and I’m active at the state level for patient access to healthcare and the profession of nursing. What you did by maligning FTV as some ill conceived strategy & JD who was advocating for M4A deeply harmed the push towards M4A.
🧵 1/ @AnaKasparian It is extremely clear to me the rationale for your bitter opposition to FTV was due to your own personal dislike of JD. I personally suspect that funding by JK also heavily skews your coverage of FTV. HAD the squad voted for one of their own, Rashida, for example &...
