It's getting really hard to take a circuitous route to me higher education.
Who thought B.S. Comp. Sci. -> job -> pay down debt -> M.S. Comp Sci -> PhD would be so painful?
The road ahead is looking steep but it will be my contribution to society

I find it strange that there is a major lack in effort from companies to retrain their programmers while there's still a technical "talent" gap.
Given that, there's at least two gaps in the higher education system. I'm going to riff for a bit, and we'll see where this goes

First there is a gap in retraining people that want to move. Setting aside the enthusiastic-from-novelty crowd, there are many people in industry putting in off-hours to attain high skills. Yet with everything but a PhD and plurality of publication, it's βπ½ to you
