So it looks like the lifting of social restrictions here in the UK is going to be pushed back again today. It’s disheartening, but it is what it is. A quick thought tho. THREAD. I’m not an epidemiologist, and I’m not here to argue the medical / scientific side of things. It may well be this is the right thing to do. A small point I feel bound to make is this:

OK. So tonight I did my 16th livestream benefit for independent venues - this time for @boomleedsvenue. They are generally a ton of fun, and this was no different, but there was, uh, an incident. I generally try not to bring too much politics into the shows, they're an escape during lockdown. But it's not really controversial to think that Wednesday's change is big news, and pretty obviously good news.

Last night I played Boston, UK, at the @TheGliderdrome. It's a lovely, classic venue, used to host all the greats in the 60s, but has been pretty dry in recent decades. Last big show they had there was @the_levellers in 2016.
