@saschact @FrauHodl @Doppelbommler @knowandserve Thank you for that, interesting analysis. It definitely spells out things I have been thinking. From bookpage 39 onwards it is about Frederick II. Now, who wrote Kaiser Friedrich der Zweite? Ernst Kantorowicz. Who is Ernst Kantorowicz?

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ernst_Kan… @saschact @FrauHodl @Doppelbommler @knowandserve “While in Heidelberg, Kantorowicz became involved with the so-called George-Kreis or George circle, a group of artists and intellectuals devoted to the German symbolist poet and aesthete Stefan George,

@artisbrutal2021 Yaddo, “sounds like shadow, but it’s not going to be one”. You could say, Shadowkids, or Schattenkinder in German. Reborn for peace.

Why was former president of Georgia Mikheil Saaskashvili married to the Dutch woman Sandra Roelofs, and why was Mikheil later involved in Ukrainian affairs?

1/ Why took the secretly held Claims Conference that organized WWII-reparations between Israel and Germany place in Wassenaar, The Netherlands?

And why was it a former German intelligence agent that convened this meeting on behalf of Israel?

@FrauHodl Göttinger Friedenspreis? You know, that is extra interesting in context of international law I am studying these days.

In 1961 Herbert Butterfield introduced Arnold Heeren and other Gottingen historians like Ranke to the British Committee on the Theory of International Politics. @FrauHodl The recovery of those Gottingen historians was the work of John Dalberg Acton who associated Gottingen with “the recovery of the facts without the recourse to theory.”

Butterfield used Heeren as useful model for thinking about international society and quoted him in the meeting.

@the_Hotstar If the story can’t be materialized, maybe it’s the story that matters. Which road does the story lead to?

Well, think about this:

“International law is the product of the common legal consciousness” @the_Hotstar The Dutch legal scolar Krabbe maintained that “the binding force of the law is founded on the "legal consciousness" of mankind: a normative feeling inherent to human psychology.”

@accountabletome @FringeViews He wrote an article in 2010 together with Mark Kleiman. Now that is an interesting name as his name pops up in the story of LSD manufacturers Todd Skinner and William Pickard.

@Golden_nuggiez There is more to the history of the Von der Leyen family, Mennonites fled when Catholic Duke of Berg, Philipp Wilhelm of Palatinate-Neuburg, persecuted them.

“He moved to Krefeld, which was under the rule of the Calvinist Oranges, where he continued trading in silk goods.” Image @Golden_nuggiez You do know which family is originally from Palatinate, do you? Image

@artisbrutal2021 I really wished people properly understood the implications of the Van Gend & Loos ruling. The ruling that said:

“THE COMMUNITY CONSTITUTES A NEW LEGAL ORDER OF INTERNATIONAL LAW”

eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/… @artisbrutal2021 “First, life was blown into the preliminary reference system detailed in article 177 of the EEC Treaty. This development originated in the Netherlands, which had confirmed the primacy of “self-executing” international law vis-à-vis national law

@artisbrutal2021 Oscar Wittenstein is a very interesting character. His mother was the daughter of Friedrich Engels. Image @artisbrutal2021 He exchanged letters with Walter Rathenau and sent him his essay Von der Macht des Verstandes oder von der menschlichen Freihei, which discussed the reception if Spinoza. Image

@artisbrutal2021 @NEOintheMCR I read that. Personally I found your remark of their emigration to (William) PennSylvania most interesting. There is a theme that keeps returning, again and again. @artisbrutal2021 @NEOintheMCR Below is from the Palatinate wiki page, where Trump is from. See the remark on the Mennonite. Image

We should prepare for says NATO Secretary General Rutte. Do you notice the Carnegie Europe logo in the background? The Peace Palace is located at Carnegieplein 2 in The Hague where the International Court of Justice is also located. My series on the Civil Roman Empire started with this particular fact 👇. Andrew Carnegie donated $1.5 million which was used to build the palace.

@artisbrutal2021 People are also not aware that PM Schoof wrote the Immigration Law 2000 himself. He was head of IND (Immigration and Naturalization Service) at the time. This law contains a specific clause for emergency/exceptional situations. And before the event, it was politically @artisbrutal2021 discussed how the PM would implement these more strict measures he was planning to take. He assured when took office that the measures would be implemented. Well, guess what has changed since last week. It is all Schmitt’s theory on the exception again.

But there is little info in there on Henri de Saint-Simon himself, a very interesting figure. Thread.

Very similar to Bellamy’s Religion of Solidarity (1874). Bellamy was a Fabian.

“in losing our personal identity, we should become conscious of our other, our universal identity, the identity of a universal solidarity”

@artisbrutal2021 Took me a while to understand your music references. After your Markus Schulz thread, I did some checks on Gabriel and Dresden, loved them as kid. I hit Institute of Sonology, Gottfried Koenig and finally Niedersächsische Musikschule Braunschweig started by Gerhard Bittrich. @artisbrutal2021 And then I found Wilhelm Bittrich is his brother. Within a few minutes I was at Market Garden again. This Wilhelm was a source for the movie A Bridge Too Far.
