@DrKMSimon @thebethelboston @BostonChildrens Hi Kevin - There's quite a few issues with this study as it relates to my statement that there are no long term studies on the mental and physical outcomes of kids with GD:

1/ GAC includes puberty blockers, cross sex hormones (GAH) and surgeries. This study only addresses GAH. @DrKMSimon @thebethelboston @BostonChildrens 2/ This is a cross-sectional study of mental health metrics at baseline. It does not allow for any determination of causality, as the authors recognize. That's a pretty serious limitation for anyone saying that hormones improve mental health. (credit: @LeorSapir)
