In Federalist 2, John Jay argues for the ratification of the Constitution on the basis of nationalism: "Providence has been pleased to give this one connected country to one united people." He did not imagine that the "people" were united under an idea, or around a Constitution.

Opening statement by Dr. Ford has been very emotional and, yes, sympathetic. There is an immediate disconnect, however. She said that she thought an anonymous accusation would be sufficient for the Senate Judiciary Committee's consideration in evaluating Kavanaugh.
That is on its face absurd. A middle-aged psychology professor ought to have enough foresight to recognize that destroying a man's lifeβespecially if he deserves itβcannot be done this way. Now there are possible explanations.

A video clip of Kavanaugh saying he was a virgin in high school and college was a laugh line on Jimmy Kimmel's show. Pay attention to this logic, because it reveals why the former host of The Man [sic] Show and other men of that ilk are feminists.
Demanding "equality" of the sexes is subterfuge. Men who demand that women be granted all of the same rights as men are really undercutting the foundational truth that it is a man's natural duty to protect the women in his life. Chastity is one aspect of that duty.
