THREAD. What would happen if the EU was leaving the UK, rather than the other way round?
Let’s imagine for some reason the EU had decided to kick the UK out. What would the UK need to do? 1/24
Top priority would be the status of 1.3m UK citizens living in EU countries. Imagine the outrage if the EU just shrugged its shoulders and didn’t consider what would happen to these people. After all, they had moved to the EU under FoM and that was now being taken away. 2/24

Thread on Honda, Swindon, cars and Brexit.
Ok, let's play a game. A Brexit game.
Let's imagine a large UK company has a factory in Japan making something the UK regards as both valuable and important. Jam, let's say.
This factory is in Japan because its owner regards Asia as a key market. It invested in Japan because the Government there had assured the owners that Japan would offer a stable long-term base for dealing with Asia.

Here’s a great Brexit story. A friend at work has been dating a teacher from New Zealand. She’s just been kicked out of the UK
She earns below the Government’s required salary level to get a new work visa. BECAUSE SHE’S A TEACHER on a Government salary

THREAD on how Brexit is like a restaurant with a magical menu offering free food 1/12
The cynical genius of the Leave campaign was to make a wide variety of promises, like a restaurant with a magical menu that shows everyone all their favourite dishes and a big sign saying ‘free food’ 2/12

*Thread on why Remain can’t understand Leave*
Ok after another frustrating day in Brexitland the penny has finally dropped for me /1
I’ve spent months engaging with the tedious detail required to make Brexit work and wondering why Leave just waves this all away /2
