This is all from the past week: This is what happens when you stack your opinion section with rich old "liberals" and don't require evidence as part of the editorial process.

There are a lot of miserable assholes on this website but Glenn Greenwald might be the worst.

Grown ass man constantly name-searching himself and lashing out at vulnerable targets online. Driven to petty cruelty by his own ego. What a way to self-destruct. I remember the first time Greenwald went after me - calling me a Clinton operative when I was a 25 year old nobody with like 2k followers. Basically had to have my coworkers sit me down and say “don’t engage, he’s not well.” The dude is a menace and can’t see it at all.

I keep thinking about Albert Camus' description of being stuck in a plague -- the boredom, the hopelessness, the feeling of being perpetually stalled out: I've been thinking a lot about plagues for this video, and its just very surreal to be trapped between two seemingly endless fevers: an actual a plague and the brown plague of fascism. What a time to be trying to search for meaning in the world.

Few things make me cry as easily as the moment Sam realizes he needs to spend his last 9th level spell slot on Counterspell, instead of casting Wish to save his best friend's character. This clip perfectly captures why DnD is so special. The intense, real commitment the players make to each others characters, each others stories. How much the game becomes a proxy for how we show deep love and respect for our friends.

YouTube has reinstated Steven Crowder into its Partner Program, meaning they'll once again allow him to monetize his videos. Demonetizing was already insufficient, but this decision proves that YouTube has no real interest in enforcing it's anti-hate policies.

In the past few months, Crowder has:
- published conspiracy theories about COVID
- called BLM a terrorist organization
- made multiple videos about how "TRANSGENDERS ATTACK!"

These are all in violation of YouTube's policies. Not a single one has been removed.

No homo but this pandemic has triggered some intense "what if I don't have 'another half'" panic and I don't know if I'll be able to shake it off once our normal distractions start opening back up.

Going to therapy makes you better at resisting fascism. It is WILD how closely fascist politics map on to the ways that we, as individuals, avoid shame, intimacy, and vulnerability. How much the walls we build around our communities mirror the walls we build around ourselves. Fascism, capitalism, and masculinity are all deeply concerned with protecting us from insecurity — both of our own desires, and the desires of others. Learning to tolerate fear and vulnerability as an individual makes it harder to be duped by the far right’s promise of security.

It is frankly jaw dropping, given how many videos we've seen of cops brutally attacking peaceful protesters, that we haven't seen more violent retaliation from civilians. The fact that it's basically been limited to looting/property destruction is a sign of superhuman restraint. I guess this is why police departments arm themselves like military units -- you'd need an incredible amount of firepower to deter crowds of protesters from fighting back in the face of police brutality.

I know nothings really changed but this week I’ve suddenly started to really struggle with the whole “being alone all the time” thing. Like realizing I’m out of gas when I’m a million miles from home. I know I should be used to it by now but it’s just so unnatural!
